Academics > Intermediate Phase
]In this phase the focus shifts to exposing learners to more abstract concepts in all subjects and each level of work progressively builds up to exiting primary school successfully. The academic work becomes more diverse in nature and Life Orientation and Community Responsibility shift to “My community”.
Attention is paid to guiding learners through puberty and the challenges and opportunities it brings.
Academic skills such as goal setting, time management and study skills are now taught with preparation for High School in mind. Learners use this phase to learn to apply academic skills to more complicated academic content.
